Camshaft lock tool?

Post by silversleeves »

1999 v70xc. I will be switching out the timing belt, tensioner and idler bearing because of a nasty bad bearing. Is it required to use a cam lock tool, or can you go without?
TIA,
Jamie

Definitely not necessary. Just pay attention to the cams. If they move off the marks, move them back.
