AC blower on ecc unit not working?

Guys I just fixed the dash lights of my car that was due to a bad dimmer switch I jumpered the wires so I could get it to work without the switch after doing that my AC blower stayed on would not turn off and ecc switches are not working the compressors not working also anyone of you had similar problems?

While I don't really believe in coincidences your bypass of the dimmer should have nothing to do with the AC blower.

What you likely have is a shorted out power stage (blower resistor). Does the fan turn off with the key? If it does then something is amiss with the ECC unit itself but if it doesn't then it is indeed the power stage.

Normally the power stages give up the ghost due to excessive current draw caused by the bearing in the blower getting dry. Were you getting any blower squeals before this happened?

One thing to check...while you were working under the dash, if you knocked off part of the ECC harness, your symptoms would make sense.

Blower turns off when keys are switched off ill check harness but I doubt it's the harness I double checked before putting it back it worked fine before I touched the dimmer switch could it be that I have shorted it when I jumpered the switch? Is it possible that I burned the ecc unit ? It did not have a burnt smell to it. I want to find what caused this if it did fry the ecc before I order a replacement. TIA

Did you have the battery connected when you were jury rigging the dimmer switch? If so, then I would guess you did fry something somewhere - but that is going to be really hard to track down - you might have to just replace parts until cured.

Which wires did you short out to bypass the dimmer?

Yup battery on I jumpered pink and brown but switched to white and brown wires because the first two the cluster lights stay on even headlight switch is at off position
