VIDA 2012D - can't type username/password

Curious if anyone can help.

Installed VIDA 2012D and can't type in the username password box.

Running Win 7 Pro - 64bit; Internet Explorer 10; 3 gig Ram.

Note: In normal IE10 browser mode, the login screen is missing part of the picture. Pressing F12 allows me to toggle to IE8 compatibility mode and the page looks like it should. Do I still have to install IE8; or is IE10 supposed to work?

Has anybody run VIDA in IE10?

I forgot weather you "install it as in XP" or you "run it as in XP" AFTER installation.
Also, it didn't work under IE10 for me. I installed IE8.
VIDA is an archaic, picky and excessively heavy software. once installed and started it's ok though.

I run mine with ie8, that's what I was told to do.
