Cruise control and check engine light, two separate ?'s

Post by DawnK31 »

Hello,

My cruise on my 00 S70 is not working. I bought two cruise relays (I think that is what they are) but I am not sure where they go. Everything else seems to be working in this dept.

In addition, my check engine light came on and I am getting the following codes:
P1614
P1671
P1610

I tried to look them up but it didn't help, I'm lost.
Thanks,
D.

1614 and 1610 have to do with immobilizer key system.
1671 is for camshaft solenoid.

Cfruise control on a 2000 S70 is integrated with engine computer. The modules do not apply to this car.

Yes as jimmy stated relays for cruise aren't used post '98 as cars had drive by wire (ETM)

Sometimes the first symptom of a failing ETM is lack of cruise control. I have a feeling that your scanner can't see all the codes on this car.
