OBD II port location

Does anyone know where the OBDII port is on V40 '01

Yep, for you Mike with our RHD cars, look under the dash where your left knee normaly is. Its on the inside of the dash so to speak. Look under the dash in line with the radio and you should see it

So now I'm using Vida to track down the interior fuse panel. Vida tells me it's located near the CEM. I removed the driver's kickpanel to find the CEM but no fuses in sight.

I'm trying to track down a faulty brake light circuit. The brake switch has 12V going in but not coming out upon brake application. Also there are no shorts across the switch when it is pressed. Also the gear lever can't be placed in drive when the pedal is pressed so the driver must use the switch behind the lever.

I'll pu a new brake switch today and try that but I would like to know where all the fuses are located. Anyone know where they are (apart from the engine bay fuses) ??

To see the fuse panel, get down and look at the accelerator pedal, its above and to the right

Thanks Shane. I fluked it by replacing the brake switch this morning. I just wanted to have the knowledge of the fusebox location in case plan A didn't work. The wiring to the switch had 12V at only one terminal.....the other circuit on the switch may have had voltage only when cruise is active.

The brake lights now operate and the gearlever can be taken out of park by pressing the brake pedal
