My S90 starts and runs fine...but when I start out it wants to konk out and stall...I am working the accelerator pedal but doesn't react. Then all of a sudden, it accelerates! ...only to do it again...
I've checked the fuel pressure before and after a new fuel filter 35 psi at idle. (I did the fuel pump test of opening the throttle suddenly and the psi jumps 5 psi (which, I am told, is a good thing.) I also tested the pressure regulator by removing the vacuum hose and see if the pressure dropped...it Did! and no fuel presence in the vacuum line.)
I then drove the car with the fuel pressure gauge attached (poking up at the back of the hood by the windshield wipers...) ran at about 35-38 psi...
The car started to stumble and lose power...but the gauge stayed at about 40 psi while the car was doing this... (Which, I am guessing, indicates the fuel pump is fine?!)
NO CODES being thrown (I thought of the MAF sensor which I've experienced before, but a code was usually indicated)
Any ideas?!
