What tires are you using on your S60R?

How to go faster, stop quicker, and turn harder. Chips, exhaust, larger turbos, bigger/slotted/drilled rotors, high performance brake pads, manual boost controllers, performance shocks/struts/springs, airbox mods and more! Also discussion on HID and Xenon lights, aftermarket foglights and other exterior lighting.

Post by TacklaNHL »

I've got a 2007 S60R, manual transmission.

Wondering what kind of tires you guys like, dislike, use, have used, would or would not recommend?

Any and all input is appreciated.

Thanks.

I've been using Pirelli P6 Four Seasons Plus on the wagon for years and have been pretty happy. Good traction and low road noise. In the winter they do need to warm-up a bit but nothing outrageous. The warranty is for 45,000 miles so it's a little less than some but that fact doesn't bother me. When I need rubber for the R I'll be getting them.

I ended up going with some 235/40ZR18 from Continental, their ExtremeContact DWS series.

I'll put in a review after some time, just got them today, if anyone's interested.

Good choice, IMHO. I love them and JRL loves them. And others, can't remember the list.

Avid Envigor - great tire. Not for Colorado.

DWS - my brother just put on a set. Fantastic handling, great grip, pretty comfortable. A bit noisy, but you can't tell on the S70.
