the compressor doesn't kick on unless I manually supply power from the relay

I'm confused. Are you jumping the relay or the low pressure switch?

I jumped the low pressure switch and jumped the relay to get the compressor to turn on. I have 35 psi in the system. I reconnect the low pressure switch and put a brand new a/c relay in. all functions work on the ecc no lights flash. With a/c on, the compressor still doesn't turn on
