Hi All,
I want to replace the #2 breakpressure sensor in the mastercylinder, and have some questions.
Once the old one is out air will get into the master cilinder.
How to get the air out, do I have to bleed the whole system? Or does it get out via the brake fluid cannister?
Does it have to be initialised by the dealer?

Use something like a cut off wooden broom handle to depress brake pedal 2 inches. Cut stick to length and use it between front edge of lower seat cushion and brake pedal.
Now unscrew sensor. Some brake fluid will quirt out. Screw in new sensor but do not tighten more than hand tight. Release stick and let pedal release. Apply stick again and then go loosen the sensor one turn and then tighten it. Repeat this one more time and You are bled. Make sure fluid level is between min and max on reservoir markings.
When pedal is depressed while a line or port is open it will will prevent reservoir from draining anf possibly going dry. If master cylinder piston is pushed forward just a bit more than 1 mm the fill port from reservoir into cylinder of master cylinder is no longer open.
So little air can get in that there is no need for any extensive bleeding.

Put lots of paper towels under the sensor to stop brake fluid from hitting any engine parts. It's highly corrosive to rubber and many plastics. It also stinks.

Ok, thanks for your answers. Yes I know the stuff is nasty.
Anyone know if the sensor has to be initialised at the dealer's system, or will it run immediately'?

Usually BPS can be replaced and be fine with no calibration. If there was calibration done when it was faulty then you will need to have it calibrated using VIDA
