Thats what they claim? But I think I will just get them to do a level 1 diagnosis anyway. So they will check the fuel and ignition system, as well as do a compression test.

Definitely sounds like plugs/coils.

Plugs, maybe. Wire, maybe. But I'd think they'd have checked all this already if the shop is any good.

The 98 uses a distributor ignition system.

Sorry it took forever to update. They did a compression test on my car and there was ZERO compression in my third cylinder. Very upset about the news. They said its not worth doing the repairs, I think I will just save up for a crate engine. I can't drive anything but Volvo.

Could just be a valve,,,, head off, under 1000 for self-repair

What manual is better for attempting to do the valves? The Chilton manual or Haynes?
