If you have the same CD that I got, it's got BT drivers and a ODBII app. If you're getting Torque you won't need the CD at all.

I'll be picking up the $15 piece from amazon soon, however I would love to have a turbo pressure readout. Anyone in here have success reading turbo pressures?

Turbo pressures - you mean boost or vacuum? Yes, it'll show those numbers. I was able to show a buddy that his boost guage was bad by using Torque!

Has anyone used Torque with a DICE interface ?
I've got DICE interface, which I've been unable to use as my 850 is too old, and haven't gotten around to linking it to my S60.
It claims to have BT so I'll give it a crack,
Other wise I'll just grab a ELM327

When I was doing OBD-II based data logging, I used this ELM327 device: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0051C ... svolvo3-20

ELM327 is the part number of a chip made by Elm Electronics.
http://elmelectronics.com/obdic.html#ELM327

It is a serial interface chip, supporting SAE J1850/ISO 9141-2/ISO 14230-4/ISO 15765-4, which covers most common OBD-II protocols.

Almost all commonly available ELM327 bluetooth adapters use a chinese clone of the ELM327 chip. The initial offering of the ELM327 from Elm was not protected; it's firmware could be easily downloaded, so knockoffs quickly came about. They are much cheaper in quantity than the real ELM327. Finding an adapter with a real Elm Electronics chip is quite difficult, although I haven't had trouble with the clone. Sometimes it will be reluctant to connect at first, but I suspect this has more to do with bluetooth than anything else.

DICE is a CAN-BUS interface that is used with VIDA for 1999+ cars. It will not work with Torque, Torque specifically talks to ELM327 -- ELM327 uses a specific protocol that makes it easy on the application, preventing the client app (such as torque) from having to worry about any of the connection details or handling parity, etc. It uses an AT command set much like a modem; details in the PDF available from the elmelectronics.com link above.

Thanks for the Info,
I have a try last night to get my DICE to connect via Bluetooth without success.
So I ordered a ELM327, not sure if its a knock off or not.

Fingers crossed it works ok !

Hello, does anybody know, if it will work on a V70 99 T5. It got the look of the I generation models but many parts are like the facelift models, so I am just curios.

What can i read from the ECU on this model?

Does anybody have pictures how you stored the ELM in the armrest? Is the OBD connector just bolted to the armrest and you can move it easily around few inches once unbolted?

Many thanks
