2000 s80 will not start, locks will not work

2000 S80, problem started month ago. Car lost power, ABS light on, AC quit. Stopped car, would not start again. Towed to dealer, they said the Alternator was bad. Changed out Alternator. Car ran fine for several weeks. Same thing happened again, same symptoms, this time, the car will not start, keyless locks will not work, only door that lock will work (open and lock) is the drivers door. Trunk will open with manuel lock.Mechanic tells me that the ECM is not communicating with another computer???? Please help,just about at the end of my rope....seriously thinking about junking the car...hate to pour more money into it

How old is your Battery? What made the dealer think it was the Alternator? Weak Battery with bad Alternator and maybe now another bad Alternator on the same weak or bad Battery. Start with the simple stuff. Recently had an Odyssey go into the Dealer for a recall. Car needed 2 cranks to start and shook the engine for just a second. Battery looked good as it started every time but the shaking was bothersome.

They the Dealer as a courtesy check the Electrical System during the recall as it was a Key Stock replacement. Said Battery was not good and try to sell me one. With a new Costco Battery car started up first time with no vibration.

Starter turns over very well, plenty of juice in the battery. I cannot understand the relationship between the problems stated above and the lack of remote key operation

My apologies, I assumed both Alternators maybe the culprit and was killing a problem battery by not charging it fully and with time the battery became too weak to run some of the accessories let alone start the car.
