New 850 R owner (bumper question)

I just picked up a 96 850 R with 192k on it. I am not new to Volvo but did have a hiatus from them for almost 20 years. And now that I am back I have a question that seems to have multiple answers when I searched the internet for answers. And I am hoping someone on here could help clear my question up. The front bumper has a non repairable crack and I would like to replace it with another one. I was thinking of putting one on from a x70 model and have heard that it is a direct bolt on and have also read that you need to swap pretty much the whole front end. But I would like to know what is the right answer? Has anyone personally done the swap that could chime in? T.I.A.
