2000 V40 tubos quit working
They just quit. I just passed 53000 miles (of course the warranty is out at 50K) and they stopped working. No noises, warning or anything. Before I take it to the dealer, I just wanted to know if anyone else has had a problem.

What are your car's symptoms? The 40 series has only one turbocharger, by the way.

Ahhhh - no wonder I could only find one. I don't know where I got it, but I had thought there were 2. Anyway, the only symptom is no power. I can tell that the turbo is not spinning up. In the low RPMs, it is not much different, but when you rev above 2K, nothing. Recently, it had an oil leak and I took it to the dealer. They said it was a seal on the turbo and replaced it and upgraded my computer for about $90 total.

If this dealer service happened within a week or two of the turbo failing, stick it to the dealer for a new turbo. Connection or coincedence?
Either way, take it to the dealer and put the 'ball in their court' with this. They'll look at it, report back to you, and we'll all know much more. Perhaps they will find immediately that they are responsible and it will be quickly repaired and forgotten.
You can always dream!
