Thank you sir. Still waiting for that video about removing front fender on an 850. My wife says you get more air time on our tv with your repair videos than the cable I pay too much for.

Original solution worked like a charm even three years later! I didn't even need to remove the wiper arm from the car. No more repair shops recommending new wiper blades.

That does not work on my car. I bought a new genuine Volvo 9169315 right side wiper arm and it hits the hood on my 1996 850. Just barely, but definitely an interference. Didn't work on the passenger side either.

I just bent the 850 wiper arm again (in a vice this time since I had it out) and put it back in.

Robert-my brother from another mother. I thought I was the only one that thought like that.

Anyone tried a brand new 850 driver's side wiper arm, genuine?

My 96 Platinum appears to have a newer D/S wiper arm, and it is perfect. Should it last another 10 years if a new genuine part is used? It looks a little different, maybe it was redesigned?

Fantastic fix! I went to look at my headlight wipers and found that sometime in the past week, the one on the passenger side has gone missing. The prime suspects are one of the toddlers in our house. Otherwise, I'm going to come back to this when I can salvage one for my V70.

I replaced the arms taken from a Dodge Shadow. They bolt right on, don't hit the hood, hide almost completely away when not using, and clean the windshield great. Down side is you'll have to take them off when you change the windshield, and replacing wiper means you have to open the hood.

I know this is an old topic. ;) Sorry for resurecting the dead.

But I tried the bending, buying a new one, filing off the 2 edges. After a short while, they all return to not wiping the part right in front of you. quite quick actually.
And that moment came today after putting on a new bosch wiper. And I am sick of it.

I checked the junkyard and found an s70. Tomorrow I will get the passenger side wiper from it, but a lot of people say it will hit the hood.

This fix above seems nice! Only problem is, we dont have any dodge shadows here. Could you maybe make a better picture of the form of the wiper? There must be some other car at the junkyard that has the same system.
