CN90 - I doubt that you need part# 3531428. I recently replaced that clamp due to rust issues, had both halves of the clamp removed from the gasket and had no leakage during the few minutes that the clamp was not in place. In other words, if you have a leak from that location I believe that it is due to a bad gasket and not the metal clamp.
Also, be advised that the clamp is actually considered two parts (both with the same part#). I would be surprised if Volvo of Lisle turns one up anytime soon as the dealership that I ordered mine from had one in stock and the other one (the second half so to speak) is on back-order. It turns out that the top half of mine was in good condition (rust wise) and I only needed one to complete the project.
Good luck fixing the leak(s).

castconcrete,

Thanks for the info re PN 3531428. It is on back-order 2-3 weeks from Sweden, also I ordered it "preemptively".

I will proceed with the EVAP hose repair (PN 9463088), the clamp can wait until the Spring of 2014.

Make sure that there are two on order as the top half and the bottom half are considered as separate parts.

Actually, the top and bottom pieces are the same, with same PN:

OK, So I dropped my gas tank and resealed both the fuel sender and fuel pump seal, one was a bit bent and needed to be replaced. Most likely where it was leaking from. All the vent lines seemed intact and still flexible, resealed a few anyways. Put the tank back in and it holds a full tank of gas without leaking, so problem solved... until this:

There seems to be an odor of gas in the cabin after starting the car, but it only happens when starting the car from cold. I think this has been an ongoing issue and isnt related to the fuel tank leak as I had previously thought. Any ideas on this? Is there somewhere that can leak in the engine bay on cold starts?

honestly anything in the fuel system can leak, I've seen leaking injector seals, leaking FLR, leaking Fuel rails, torn lines, leaking fuel filters... etc etc etc. honestly your just going to have to get under the car and follow the lines all the way forward.

Also make sure to check the "check valve" between the fuel filter and the tank. it has a breather line that on my car rotted away and caused a gas smell.

I traced all lines with the car running and I see no visible leaks.

Where is this check valve and what does it look like?

Also someone mentioned that cars typically have a charcoal canister that runs off vacuum lines that tends to leak fumes occasionally. Is that an issue on these 850s? If so where is this canister located?

Injector seals replaced as well as all seals on gas tank (fuel sender and fuel pump seal). Fuel/Gas smell seems to be non-existent as of now.
