2004 S40 T5 Sunroof Won't Open

Post by dw1003 »

Hi Everyone,

I'm a new Volvo Owner ('04 S40 T5 Late Model)

My sunroof is not working. No response from the button, seems like it's not getting power.

My mechanic also noticed that the SRS indicator light (located in front of the sunroof control button) is also not lighting up. Also I've noticed that my courtesy light does not work with the doors closed (works fine with door open. both map lights and dome and rear light control work fine… just not when I'm driving???) It seems to me these issues are related to getting power to that whole sunroof control panel.

I've tried the manual key unlock/re-lock three times thing, no success.

I've also read that these issues may be related to the battery being disconnected and that there may be a procedure to disconnect the battery again with the key in ignition position II?

Looking for a fix or confirmation and detailed instructions on how to do the reset procedure.

Thanks in advance!
