1998 V70 Fuel Smell in Morning Then Burns Off

Good morning-

I've been noticing a fuel smell in the colder months when I turn the car on and eventually burns off after actually driving the car. I did have the heater core replaced earlier in the year so I'm not sure if that has something to do with the fuel smell. Actually I do remember smelling the fuel and didn't notice it until the last few days since it's gotten progressively worse.

Fuel Leak is a serious matter:

1. Engine compartment, check all lines/connections.

2. Gas Tank area, read this thread. There are 4 places that it can leak.

Get it scanned. I had this problem too. Small fuel leak and large fuel leak. I had to replace the front hoses on the front passenger side of the charcoal canister
As well as the carbon canister on the front driver side (take off the front tire) removing the fender liner and you'll see it. I also bought a brand new fuel cap. None the less no more warning light on the dasboard. Cheers
