I like the General Altimax HPs. Probably cheaper than the Contis as well. Definitely better (and cheaper) than the MXV4s in my experience. Haven't run the Contis long enough to have an opinion (car they were on was totaled, but not for reasons having anything to do with tire performance).

On my last post here you were telling me I didn't know how to fill up my gas tank as well as you did (that was quite amusing, btw). And now you tell me I'm not an experienced tire buyer, but you are. easy, bro. he didn't say anything about you. his comment was about kumhos.

i have the primacys on my car from the previous owner and am very impressed with their longevity. 50k+ miles and they are still rolling. on this car i have nothing to compare them to for noise, comfort, handling, etc but with that kind of tread life (there is still a little ways to go before i can see abe's head) i'll definitely buy another set when the time comes.

More flats with Kumho's in 30,000 miles than I have had on all of the other cars that I had combined. If I had to guess, I have likely driven 771,000 miles in my life.
Well I haven't had a single issue with them in the 7,000 miles I've had mine.

I wasn't trying to say that your experience was bad, I actually said I enjoyed the performance as well, I just could not keep them on my car very long. Maybe it was because I was running the low profile tires, 205/45-17.

I'm running some tires branded Hankook now. I've had them for about 50,000 and I am very pleased with them. I had never heard of Hankook before, I only got them because if the deal, they were brand new and I purchased them from CraigsList.

I had set of these MXV4's on my 850 and hated them. Poor traction in the wet. They would be good for the cars down in dry states but not in the Northwest. Replaced them with Bridgestone Potenza RE-960. YES I give the long wear and low rolling effeicency but prefer the improved traction/handling.
