We are working on a 2008 XC70. Neither remote works after the vehicle has been sitting for a while.
The vehicle has to be locked during this time period.
We first replaced the remote batteries, with no change. We then replaced the vehicle's battery. It seemed better at first, then it went right back to doing the same thing, nothing.
If you keep trying the remote, (either), it will eventually work. When you lock the vehicle, the remotes go back to not working, after the vehicle has sat for about an hour.
Has any one experienced this before?

Three questions to start with. Does this car have keyless go? Do you have access to VIDA to read off trouble codes? Does the car start normally the first time or do you get messages about the key being invalid or not found?

Hi,
We had the same problem, and after researching the issue and talking to the mechanic at the dealership, he said to wiggle the connector by the front of the driver door, and we were able to solve the issue by doing that. sometimes the connector get loose from shutting the door throughout the years.
Try that and see what happen.
