240 valve cover gasket

240 valve cover gasket

Two quick questions- can anyone suggest a good brand of valve cover gasket? Seems as though quality varies greatly between manufacturers. Also, does a 92 240 require the little half moon shaped rubber plug that my older ones had? Looking around the web, it appears that somewhere around 86, they changes the design so the plug was no longer needed. Is that accurate? Thanks in advance!
