2007 XC90 V8 Sport Shocks Longevity
Hey everyone, just bought an 07' XC90 and I noticed it doesn't take any bumps well. It thuds on every bump. The truck has 90k on it. What's the longevity of the suspension? It looks like replacing this self-leveling system is going to be mighty expensive. Is it worth converting?

Not likely to the struts. It is FAR more likely to be the spring seat/shock stem mounts.
If you open the hood and look at the strut tops with wheels straight ahead you will likely see the RH side one has a larger gap between the large washer just below the nut and the rubber mount just below as compared to LH side. You run over more curbs and encounter more potholes on right side of road so that side goes first. The sway bar links are also prone to knock when worn.
