Vida Log in failure, date problem

Post by sergio »

.

I have been using Dice/Vida for a while now but today something has gone wrong.
It won't start and a red framed windows says something like "Log in failure. The computer is specifying a date that is at least one day earlier than the previous session"
Only no one has touched the date setting on the computer and it has always been and is correct.
I could start changing the date of my system going a month or a year in the future until it works, but this not a solution.

Does anyone knows where the previous session(s) log is (are) located?
there ate scores of files with "log" in their name

.

This is the second time it happens

I feel like the baby who sings lullaby alone to sleep.....

Last time I used Vida/Dice I made a printout of "vehicle detail" which I usually do, as a .pdf file.
Well, I read the second line "latest checkout" and there was the date; March instead of February!!!
I changed the system date and it worked.

So, a little advice; make a printout of the Vehicle Information when you use it, not only you will have the info (including the millage) but if your system teased you, you will know what to do. :)

I use mine several times a week and have never had that happen.. But mine is always running. I restart every time I use it.

I will say it's the biggest pain in the ass to use at times. Incredibly thorough but when something goes wrong it's never something simple. I also despise the fact that you need IE to run it.... Especially when my laptop updated itself when I had it set not to.

I do like vol-fcr. Too bad it only covers a narrow spread of cars.
