How is the SRS reset? Is it only done via the dealer? Can it be done with Dice/VIDA even if it was the result of an accident? All bags and belts have been replaced.
Thank You.

Vida/Dice will reset the SRS module as long as bags are replaced and connections to the bags are intact.

good to hear although I wish I'd posted sooner. I took apart the whole center console last night! good grief. oh well it needed a deep cleaning I suppose.precopster wrote:Vida/Dice will reset the SRS module as long as bags are replaced and connections to the bags are intact.

In a case of incident there can be crash data stored. So module will have yellow error codes that cannot be cleared. Just be informed that it may happen.
If you have questions about Volvo firmware ask me. I may know an answer
Hmm if that ends up being the case what are my options? replacement of module? Heard you can reload the SRS does Dice come with the software to reload the module or do I need to get my hands on that?doublebug wrote:In a case of incident there can be crash data stored. Doublebug's note is just an FYI. Unless you have reason to believe it has been wrecked before or had other SRS issues then the memory will not be so full that it stops the erasing process.
You have to have a VIDA subscription to get software you can load. It's a pretty big deal to get that set up and working. Dealer or an Indy garage with VIDA subscription would be cheaper usually. VIDA software ordering infrastructure does not like other stuff on your PC and does not like installs using VMWare to allow VIDA to work on a Windows version not truly the one required by VIDA.

Yellow flagged DTCs for SRS will illuminate the SRS or do they need to be RED flagged?
