If your FPR is shot like mine was the fuel pressure will bleed off on its own

But it still best to release the pressure using the schrader valve on the left of the fuel rail. Just unscrew the cap and press the plunger with a flat head or a pencil or something like that. I would put a rag around it first to catch the fuel that comes out. Best $140 I've ever spent!

Thanks for the reply. I did not bleed the FPR before I removed it and it came off no problem... Now I have a problem. I got the new one on and started the car and gas started to squirt towards the windshield. Is that because I did not release the pressure??? Wow

No, I don't see how it could have caused that!

Can you see exactly where the gas is coming from? On my 2003 S40 the hose connector that connects at the very top was a little tricky to get just right. Also are you sure you got the new one back in all the way? I ended up having to put a little vaseline on the o-ring to get it to shove back up in the assembly all the way.

I would recheck all of the connections, I'm sure something just isn't on right..

Yes was not connected all the way and a little lube (Vaseline) did the trick... All done thank you
