2004 xc70 seat heater not working after blower replacement

Post by cindiana »

My mechanic replaced blower motor. It was rush job as he is going on vacation. Blower whines a little and the seat heaters don't work. The lights come on but no heat. Is there a connector that might have been overlooked. Neither the passenger nor the driver's side seat heaters work. It is really cold in Maine.
Thank You For Any Help,
Cindiana

I drive a S60, not sure if it's the same electrical.

The blower is not connected to the heating seats, at least not directly. It has a single electrical plug. Only the glove box light plug is disconnected when the blower is replaced.

I would suggest checking the seat heater fuse in the fuse panel.

Both of those fuses look fine, I switched one out just to check. Isn't there some big fuse under the hood that goes to those? I bought the car used and do not have the manual.
The seat heaters worked fine until the blower replacement. And he had unhooked the battery.

I've read about side-issues when hooking back the battery, sometimes with the control panel. I can't help more.. I would unplug the positive cable at the battery for 12h (vernight) to see if it resets anything.
