1983 240DL Water pump not matching, what to do?
I think the prior owner did an engine swap because I went to put in a new water pump and it doesn't match. So how can I find out what type water pump fits this car?

First find out which engine you have. The serial number is stamped on the left (driver's) side of the cylinder block toward the front, usually around where the distributor is located. This may also have the model number.
If not, you can input the serial number at this website to find out which model you have: http://equipmentwatch.com/QuickSearch.d ... urer=volvo
