2002 v70 Outside air temp display

Post by hcritz »

Hey Guys,
Anyone know where the outside air temp sensor is located on the 2002 V70?
The one on my 2000 snaps in the plastic under panel but I haven't been able to locate the on for the 2002. I have all the issues fixed except for the temp display. I'm just getting oF -- on the display.
Worked before all the electrical maladies from disconnecting the battery.
Thanks,
Ed

In both mirrors, one is the temp and I'm not sure what the other is for, but both need to be working properly

RH mirror on P2 is wired to the module in that door (pass door module, PDM) and then goes into network.
The temp sensor on LH door goes directly to the ECM. Not this way for P1 and P3.
The temp sensors are the nub that is blow mirror.
Does the RH window go up and down from driver's control and RH mirror can be adjusted?

Thanks Jimmy....I'll check that. I had an issue with the right hand window module when I reconnected the batter after some work, the RH door window relay started clicking and the window and lock didn't work...I replaced the switch/module and the relay is quiet now...I haven't tried to run the window or mirrors from the drivers side. I'm still a bit amazed at the carnage from just disconnecting the battery! The window module of course is tied in with the interior lighting which was all crazy as well. The new module took care of that as well.
I could live without the outside air temp, but things that don't work make me a bit crazy...I'm an engineer every thing should be level and square! LOL
Thanks,
ED

Hi, I have recently changed my mass airflow sensor and now my outside temperature display is displaying the wrong temperature. It goes from 54°F to 42°F when driving , actual temperature outside is 25°F. Did changing the MAF have anything to do with this or is this a Nother problem.

Hey Jimmy,
I just checked the mirrors and window from the drivers side. The light comes on in the side to side control but no go on the mirrors or window. I'm guessing that's telling me I have an issue with the controller in the passenger's door???
Will start looking for one of those as well.
Thank,
Ed
