Hello,

By way of introduction, I'm seriously considering buying a 2003 D5 - its got 140,000 miles on it - and I'm concerned that the transmission is due to die. I've test driven it and it seems ok - has a decent service history, but is failure inevitable in the next 6 months or are there people with auto D5s that have lasted a lot longer than this?

Thanks for any advice/opinions!
