1999 C70 Purge Valve Direction

1999 C70 Purge Valve Direction

I replaced the purge valve with a different style and brand. It had an arrow on it for air flow direction. The old one did not have one so I do not know if I inserted it the right way. What would happen if I installed it backwards?

It's an essentially an open/ closed device so I don't think it matters.

I think there are some pictures on the forum that might help you get it right if you are concerned.
