Had the reset button on the 240 tripometer fall off. It just became loose and would pull completely out. I know it had a spring behind it originally. The question is: if I pull the instrument cluster will I be able to reach this reset button and maybe "super glue" it back in?
Thanks,
Mark

If you were to superglue it back in it is highly likely that it will stick to the housing as well, thus making it inoperative. Also do you have the spring?

Bill,
I haven't pulled the thing apart yet. I assume that the spring is still inside. I had planned to put a dab of super glue on the end of the button and let it dry so I don't think it will stick on the housing. I was mainly asking that if I pulled it apart would I be able to get to the area it attaches to so that I could hit it with the glue or is is an enclosed housing that can't be accessed without a hammer:-)

Sorry, I misread that one. It is easy to open up the panel and, looking at the VADIS diagram. it should be relatively easy to glue it back together.
There is no mention of a spring in the parts list, but perhaps they did not expect them to come apart.
This is the only speedo I can find for a '92 240. Hope it helps.
