Arming the Alarm

Post by brianf »

2004 S60 AWD

I'm doing something wrong when I set my alarm. On pg. 76 of the manual it says "Press the Lock button on the remote control or lock the car using the key in the drivers door or press the central lock button on one of the front doors with the door open. One long flash of the turn signals will confirm that the alarm is on".

When I do this the signals never flash. It is armed though. I left the window open. Locked it with the remote, and then reached in and pull the knob and opened the door. The alarm did work.

Before I take it for service, any ideas?

Many thanks

brianf
