I am muddling along with my pcv replacement.
Intake manifold is loose. There is a hard fuel line threading up through the manifold and a shiny metal connector is attached to the hard fuel line. A rubber fuel line (which I cut to remove the injector rail) attaches to this shiny metal connector. This shiny metal connector can rotate on the hard fuel line.
Picture is attached
I need to disconnect the shiny metal coupling from the hard fuel line to get the manifold off.
How do I do this?
Thanks!

Fuel line disconnect tool on Amazon. Powerbuilt 648722.
I purchased the above. The size required is 3/8 inch. It works great on my XC.

Didn't know there was a tool--I was able to disconnect mine this past week while doing the PCV just by giving it a very firm pull. Reconnected as well with a good firm push...

It releases the line by simply pushing all the metal barb fingers on the fitting in so the line can be slid away.
Mine wouldn't budge on the XC and I don't suggest pulling it unless you want to buy a new one.

Well, Mike was right.
Yesterday the fitting pulled apart so I may well have damaged it by not using the proper tool--I was able to reconnect it to get home, but now I need to find a replacement for the fitting.
I've been looking at part schematics, but have not found the connecter that looks just like the one in the picture.
Anyone have an idea about the part number?
