1999 s70 non turbo. Manifold removal part 2

Post by Chevtex5 »

I am removing my manifold to get at my pcv parts for replacement. Manifold is loose and disconnected.

I have a hard fuel line snaking through the manifold with a 90 degree bend. Thanks to precopster, I was able to disconnect the quick connect fuel line fitting.

However, the 90 degree bend in the hard line through the manifold seems too long to get the manifold past.

Should I attempt to bend the hard fuel line to get it through the manifold? Should I cut the hard fuel line and later reattach with rubber hose? Is there a better way to get the manifold off?

Thanks!

Don't cut it. If I remember right you can bend it just a little and twist the manifold to get it off.

Yeah, just jockey the manifold around. It comes out around the fuel pipe. You might scratch the paint off the fuel pipe but that's nothing.
