2001 v70xc transmission - TCM Adaptation Procedure

Post by larrycrilley »

I have a 2001 v70xc with 149k on the clock. Would someone please direct me to or explain the TCM Adaptation Procedure. I know to put it into adaptation mode using VIDA/DICE but I need the drive cycle procedure so it can relearn to shift smoothly. I have done all the recommended prerequisites to this step and it is my hope before I spring for a rebuilt tranny or a replacement vehicle.

Thanks in advance.

I don't know the full guidelines for putting links to other sites but after a little searching I found this http://forums.t5d5.org/topic/10207-fail ... procedure/. About halfway down it goes into great detail how to do the adaption after putting it into control adaption mode with VADIS. Also from what I have gathered it takes a little while to get the transmission fluid to the correct temperature. Some were saying almost 30 minutes of driving. Hope this helps.
