2000 S70 P0505

Hello,

Thank you Volvo saviors, with your advice I was able to repair the S70 to the point of passing the state's smog test. After driving it for a couple days, my brother reports seeing a check engine light upon cold start which disappears after a couple minutes. I thought it was a vacuum leak maybe. Anyways it now turned into an CEL P0505 which I think is for the Idle Air Control Valve (after using the site's search function). I'll try to confirm if this car actually has one (never noticed one by the throttle body)... I can erase the code, but it'll get a service light and then upgrade to a P0505 in a couple days. So if the vehicle does possess an IAC valve; just try cleaning it and at worst replace it?

I'm pretty sure this has an ETM and no IAC valve. As for troubleshooting, there's an ETM section in the forum.

Thanks. I think I somehow mixed up IAC with AACV...
