1996 858 GLT NO START

I just acquired this car volvo 850 glt and have not driven it on the road - problem is that it does not start but only starts up only when fuel is poured down the intake and it runs only until the added fuel is burned up -
also runs with or with out the MAF sensor plugged in or not . Can any one advise me a way forward .

Check for fuel pressure, if none:
Check the fuel pump relay (103), the overload relays (J), fuel filter

If fuel pressure present:
Check the injector relay on the radiator shroud

Your problem is on the fuel delivery, if the motor runs it means that all the engine management and ignition modules are working. I would strictly focus on electrical and common expendibles (fuel filter).
