Ok I'm stumped. From what I have been told, and read, the Evap purge valve (not pump) is attached to the fan shroud on my car. Only valve I can find is the brake booster valve on a bracket attached to the front of the air box. Can anyone enlighten me or post a picture of where it is fitted?
Many thanks,
Neil.

Took a picture of part from FCPeuro web-site and believe I found the position of the valve. It is not on the fan shroud at all. It has a rubber body with a hole in it surrounding the valve, and it just hangs on a hook mounted to the engine block under the intake. The part fitted to that position looks like this:
http://www.fcpeuro.com/products/volvo-e ... vo-8653908
So, I'm assuming either the info posted is wrong (even on FCP's web-site) or 2006 year has it fitted in a different position.

This part must be the most searched for in all Volvo history. I am chasing down an intermittent P0486 (High Pressure Flow) code as well. I have the Evap Purge valve but can't find it on my 2004 XC70. I'm searched all over and can't find a good diagram of where this is. Anyone have a photo or diagram?
Thanks,
Thanks,
I found it under the engine manifold as above described above here is a photo. Round black in center with hose attached. Hopefully that will help others. This is a 2004 XC70. Replaced valve and old cracked/brittle hoses. Cleared code. Has not returned.
