My 98 s70 na has started doing something strange. Was driving it back home on the highway doing about 80 when it will intermittently "buck". It will happen once and not again for a while. Drove it 4 hours and it happend maybe 5 times. No CEL was reallly windy (maybe a factor)? New maf and did air and oil filters this past weekend.
I drove 6 hours the week prior no issues. Will drive tomorrow to see if it happens again. What does this sound like?

Sounds like a misfire, quite possibly with a spark plug. Coils don't typically do that at that high of speed. We have had several instances of plugs being bad and having a bucking sensation at higher speeds.

Plug or loose wire/cap. I had this happen on my 98 V70 and performed a plugs, wires, cap / rotor replace and it never happened again. Felt like a quick punch at highway speeds.

Ah thank goodness. Was hoping it was a f/p. I did just detail my engine bay. Probably moved something around. While out there today I noticed a crack in my hood like something in my engine bay went up and hit it by my air box :/

I once had a wierd stumbling at low rpm when the engine was hot. Most of the time it drove fine otherwise.
It was a bad ignition cable on one cylinder.
