1998 v70 NA lower manifold bolts

Post by frisky99 »

Hello , I'm starting the PCV job tomorrow and I think I read that I should just loosen the bottom manifold bolts instead of removing them . Any advice ?. Thank you , Frisky

Not really a question here, is there? :P You are correct, loosen but do not remove the lower intake manifold bolts.

The manif will slide over the lower bolt like a hanger would. Loosen 3-4 turns to get a feel first. Lift it straight up.

Thanks , I thought I had seen it described both ways . leaving them in seems like less fuss in getting it back together. Frisky

Very intuitive once you get the feel.
Prepare well to support it coming off. cn90 and jblackburn make good suggestions in their posts.
