Look at his above posts, all the same day.
What you said is incorrect.
I emailed him the code now near 48 hours ago, a simple thanks in return via the same email, as everyone else has done, would suffice.

JRL, I just saw your email and responded, then came on here to see if there were any new posts and discovered the apparent firestorm I have left in my wake by not using my computer for one day. Some days I have time to interact over the internet, some days I don't see a computer. I really do appreciate your time and your promptness with providing help, but maybe you can't always assume that everyone else on these forums has the same lifestyle which enables them to be so prompt.
In any case, for posterity and the case that anyone else comes upon this thread in the same situation as me, the code graciously provided by JRL based off the serial number of the radio was the same as the one that I had in my records and the same one provided by the local dealership based off my VIN. It is unequivocally the correct code. The consensus seems to be that when the radio doesn't accept the correct code, it is shot, even if it had been working perfectly prior to the power-down.

One more shot - Good Power? Both constant and switched?
Are you seeing voltage getting through fuses 7 & 32?
If it's good there, a meter at radio plug will confirm.
I know it's a long shot, but hey. Easy to check.

Well based on the forum timestamps, you said on 23Apr you would get the code for the lemur thigh bone tomorrow, meaning 24Apr. No messages were posted on this line on 24Apr, so I trust you got the code and sent on 24Apr, then the complaint come on 25Apr AM. Just take it easy, life happens and sometimes cars and computers take a back seat (pun intended).
Not everyone is as experienced or knowledgable on this stuff, nor has the time. I would like to have my radio code on hand, but am afraid to ask. Let's not ridicule and push people away from the forum, this is a place to collaborate

Yeah all electrical is good. The shop put another volvo unit in just to see and it worked perfectly. I just put in an aftermarket unit and everything metered fine. Now I have BT in my car plus a nice double DIN doorstop.BEJinFbk wrote:One more shot - Good Power? Both constant and switched?
