2007 S80 Where is blower resistor/power unit?

I am getting ready to repair an intermittent blower motor in my 2007 S80 and would like to try replacing the resistor/power unit first. I have seen details for other model years, but nothing for a 2007 and could use some help on how to access this part.

In the S60 is behind the glove box. Have a look underneath.

2007 S80 has the blower power unit integral with blower motor. top center of HVAC case, remove cluster to access. Blower twists 1/16 turn after latch is depressed to remove.

Do you know if you can twist and remove the blower without the Volvo special tool?
