2005 XC90 2.5T: FULL size spare tire question

With the 2005 XC90 2.5T AWD, I am thinking about a 17" alloy rim and new tire as a spare.

Does 235-65-17 full size spare fit in the undercarriage location?

I think the spare tire is T155/85R18.

* 235-65-17 overall diameter = (235x0.65)x2 + (17x25.4) = 737.3mm

* T155/85R18 overall diameter = (155x0.85)x2 + (18x25.4) = 720.7mm

So the difference is 16.6mm or 1.66cm...

Why don't you remove a wheel and try it?

Few people would worry about this however I believe Volvo may have had a full size wheel on its options list. You could call a dealer to find out. JRL may be a good source of info here.
