1992 940T rough idle and popping on acceleration

As mentioned in the title, my 1992 940 turbo has a slightly rough idle (will run mostly smooth). The real problem lies in the acceleration, when i start giving it gas the engine doesn't really respond and the engine almost sounds like it's coughing, the best example i can give is the engine on acceleration is akin to that of a go cart or a prop plane. Please help, I'd like to fix it up as much as possible and i just replaced both the fuel filter and pump, thanks!
