2001 v70 zero acceleration - feels like its in limp mode

Thanks Mike and Abscate for the advise.
I removed the MAF cable yesterday afternoon and car started perfectly, idling as it should.
Test drove and was amazed how much power returned, full acceleration had returned.
Surprisingly after a 30 minute drive on mixed roads, no limp mode occurred.
With the cable reconnected again, the same symptoms came back.

I'm still yet to run a VIDA scan but things are definitely hinting at the MAF.

Will try a clean with some MAF cleaner this weekend.
