Replaced the blower motor tonight on my 91 940 with a used motor I got from a Volvo mech in town. Got car back together and now the AC button flashes and blower motor does not work. I have some sort of ECC error. Any ideas?
Thanks
Doug

1. "SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - The Electronic Climate Control (ECC) control module can
detect faults in the system and store Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).
If a fault is present, system informs driver by flashing AC OFF and
REC switch LEDs for 20 seconds.
A fault warning is given when a fault is discovered or
present each time ignition is turned on or engine started. DTCs will
remain stored until cleared by an input code."

Went through the Self Diagnostics and got error code 233 (Fan Motor Excessive Starting Current) any ideas of where to start. The blower motor was going bad and I replaced it with a new one and now I'm getting this code and the fan will not work at all.

I'd check current draw on fan with 12 Volts going to it. I would suspect there are some resistors on a board somewhere, maybe a resistor has shot craps, and/or the fan switch is bad. I know nothing here.dougnelson wrote:Went through the Self Diagnostics and got error code 233...
Is there a relay involved...it might be the issue.
