For reference, caliper bolt torque listed above is 100NM or 73 foot pounds

The rotor screw is only 8 Nm, or only about 5 foot pounds...that's basically hand tight.

He-he torque specs. Other than when I am doing a head gasket repair I never use a torque wrench. It is an advantage to doing your own work but I will tell you this: The size of the bolt determines the torque its that simple bigger bolts need and can handle more torque. After working on cars for years, we just know how tight things are supposed to be. Torque wrenches are normally very long meaning they are not practical for MOST applications. I have worked in shops and like I said unless its a head, no one even knows where the torque wrench is located. So in other words if you have ever had your car worked on by practically ANYONE, they did not use a torque wrench. I'm just saying. Torque specs can be important in some aplications like suspension and steering, etc but putting a universal adapter on it makes the reading wrong because some of the torque is being lost. So often they are not used because they just cant fit in the particular space you are working.
