Almost 1 year later... I finally got around to pulling the water pump. It looks pretty decent. I was hoping to see it look like the picture above but no such look seemed decent.
Anybody else have any ideas? I might try running my camera snake through some holes and see if I see any blockage.

Hi Zyanmayfield,
I'm having the same issue you described in my 1996 850 non-turbo after putting in a new radiator. I'm thinking it's the head gasket at this point, or a wicked air bubble.
How did your issue resolve? Did it get all better when you put it all back together after the water pump?

Not an air bubble. You need to test it for a bad head gasket. If the car has ever overheated, even time, the head could be warped and the gasket breached.
