1994 850 heater fan began working again?

Can anyone help me on this one?:
In April I posted that my heater fan stopped working and I pulled 414/418 codes. Lee helped me diagnose a possible resistor failure. I haven't yet had time to replace the resistor. Yesterday as I was driving the heater fan began blowing! Mine has the climate control and as I adjusted the various temp settings the blower motor reacted accordingly. Do I have a much more serious problem? Thanks.

Probably worn out brushes in the blower motor. If they make contact the fan will run, when they lose contact they won't. You can PnP or buy new. In the harsh winter of New England, I went new.
