I have a T6 with over 200k miles, new gearbox at 100k before I purchased and no problems since. I am very aware of the box issues and do drive the car accordingly.
I have just replaced bushes in the front end and also removed the right CV shaft or replace torn boot. On removal a small amount of oil came out and over 24hrs I reckon if lost half a pint. I have since topped up the transmission but get the following issue.
I live on top of a hill, the car will only go up the hill at 25mpg, (prior to work, happily go up at 40) no power in 2nd to go faster. It will kick down to 1st if required but just has no power in 2nd. On the flat it drives fine, just as it has for previous 100k.
Any ideas on what to do?
Thanks

Before you drive any further I would highly suggest you do a fluid flush +filter replacement; provided you have not already done it in the past +/-20K miles.
The fluid in these things should be inspected and cleaned regularly. I hope you didn't burn the 2gear clutches.
When you replaced the Half shaft, is it possible that you damaged the ABS sensor, or its cable? Is/Are there any lights on the dash?

Hi, thanks for the reply, no lights on the dash, I was careful with sensor. In regards to oil flush, I have read different posts, some saying flush the oil on these T6 transmissions and some say not to. Any guidance on this?
